Nice insight into Pinocchio, there definitely some nice parallels to the Christian faith. I think the most important part of believing is realizing that we are in need of God's love and that it's when we live in this love we discover who God has uniquely created us to be. When we like Pinocchio try to do it on our own or find our way by ourselves with out God we end up in freaky places like Pleasure Island, which if I remember correctly really freaked me out as a kid!

Since my childhood I know Jesus, the best time is when we are children and we love God in a pure and unconditional way. When I was adoslecente I wanted to discover other things that I thought were most interesting. In my youth I gave importance to the passing things that left me empty. In my 40's I feel more stable to meet Jesus deeply. Although throughout my life I always felt his presence, his forgiveness and miracles in my life. I think that it is never too late to reconsider and focus to live as God wants us to live.

Well said Greg! This makes me think of Revelation 3:21. Jesus says, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." How often do we, myself included just glance out the peephole or peek out the front window to see Jesus but don't really let him in because of being afraid of him or making a snap judgement about why he's there. I love that Jesus doesn't kick the door in but knocks and waits for us to open up. When we do Jesus just wants to hang, eat some food, get to know us and let us get to know him and when we do our lives will be changed, at least that's my experience.

Greg you totally threw me for a loop on where you went with that and really challenged me to think about how critical I am different forms and genres of music. I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of choral music, don't tell anyone or I might get in trouble:O And, I am guilty of writing off whole genres like, Country Music. But, your post reminds me that God works in and through all genres and forms of music. The variety of musical genres and tastes is a reminder of the variety found within the people of God. After all God's love in Jesus is for all people and all kinds of music. - Patrick

One question that I have thought about is being narrow minded bad? I don't think it is if you are narrow minded and loving. Can't I love Jesus and believe he is the way to life and that there is one true God who created and loves the world, and at the same time love my neighbor and people who don't share my belief? I think that I can and that is what I strive for. In fact I think that is what Jesus tells us to do. He say, love the Lord your God with all your heart, strength and mind. Be narrow minded don't worship other gods but the second thing Jesus tells us is to love our neighbor. Being narrow minded isn't bad as long as your not a jerk about it.
