Maundy (not Monday…) Thursday
So hopefully you guys are aware that this Sunday is Easter which means that this week is Holy Week, a week of preparation as we encounter Jesus dying and later rising for us! We will be having a Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Not-so-bad Saturday, and Easter Sunday services (just kidding about the Saturday ). Maundy Thursday is the day we remember when Jesus sat with his disciples for the Last Supper, where he told them about breaking of the Body and pouring of the Blood. There will be a dinner served at 6 pm and then a service at 7 pm on Thursday (4/1). On Friday (4/2) there will be a Good Friday service at 7 pm remembering how Jesus died on the cross. If you are participating in the Sacramento Plunge then we will all be going to this service together after a day of ministry. On Sunday there will be 3 services celebrating Jesus’ resurrection, one is a sunrise service at 7am (weather permitting, outside), as well as the regular 9am and 11am services. Come join us for these services to celebrate Jesus’ awesome sacrifice for us!
